The student team 2022

Stefan Misic

Stefan Misic was born and raised in the Bosnian city of Tuzla, situated in the country’s northwest as one if its regional centers. Having emigrated with his family to Germany at age 17, Stefan is currently enrolled as a third-year student of Business Administration, specializing in Marketing and Media Management at Heilbronn University. In the current semester, Stefan is undergoing an internship placement at Lufthansa Technik – a market leader in the aviation industry – before completing his Bachelor studies next summer. Apart from his passion for all things aviation, Stefan enjoys international gatherings as he loves forming new friendships with people from across the globe. In his spare time, Stefan enjoys travelling, riding his bicycle or going for a run in nature. As a newcomer to case competitions, he made his first experience during the Rotterdam International Case Competition Bootcamp 2022.

 Lara Raith

Lara Raith is currently studying Business Administration, Marketing and Media Management at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences in her 4th year. As her studies are nearing their end, she is very much looking forward to the chance of gaining experience in a case study competition before she finishes her BA. Lara loves baking – which fits perfectly with her passion for meeting friends for a cup of coffee. But she also enjoys taking walks through nature and doing yoga. With quite some time now having passed after her semester abroad in 2020 at ITC Carlow in Ireland, she is very much looking forward to meeting people from all over the world again by participating in ROCA. And the fact that she has never been to the Netherlands before, but really wanted to do so, is the perfect addition to this experience.

Katharina Nick

Katharina Nick originally is from Wasserburg am Inn, a town near Munich. She is 22 years old and studies Business Administration, Marketing and Media Management at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, and is now in her 4th year. During her studies she spent a semester abroad at ITC in Ireland, and is always very open to new people and cultures from all over the world. She is therefore looking forward to meeting many people from many different parts of the world during her participation in ROCA. She enjoys making music as well as painting in her free time. These activities are the perfect balance to her studies. She also loves to travel, and since she has never been to the Netherlands before, she is very excited to get to know the country.

Ruth Thalmann

Ruth Thalmann is currently finishing up her studies in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing and Media Management at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences. She enjoys challenges and competitions, which grows her excitement towards the ROCA competition. She is curious about different cultures and loves to meet new people from all over the globe. Besides Competitions and Cultures Ruth’s interests lie with sports, be it team sports like soccer or independent sports like dancing. When not in motion you can also find her curled up with a good book or out with her friends. All in all, Ruth looks forward to this great opportunity to improve her case solving skills thus deepening her understanding for business and industry connections. The intercultural connections and opportunities to meet students and coaches from different universities are also a welcomed add on for her.
