ROCA 2025

O, Canada!

RO/CA 2025 was hosted in Canada’s capital by Carleton University.  Sixteen universities from 10 countries participated, representing Asia, Europe, and North America.

Matches took place the Nicol Building, home to the Sprott School of Business.  The Opening Ceremony was held on Sunday, October 19 and concluded with a Gala Banquet on Friday, October 24.  Teams arriving early had the opportunity to join RO/CA Team Ambassadors and volunteers for an afternoon of Canadian football, as the Ottawa RedBlacks took on rival Montreal Alouettes.  Thursday’s social day saw a return to Lansdowne Park for a tour of TD Place Stadium and Arena, and on-field activities that included an impromptu field goal kicking contest.  The final case—Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group—challenged teams to provide a strategy to increase fan engagement and ticket sales for the RedBlacks and their OSEG-owned ice hockey cousins, the Ottawa 67’s.
